The Oppertunity
With the rapid development of content creation online, copyright protection has created a rift between Music labels and content creators. As a pioneer in the music industry Warner Music Group is always innovating so we set out to design a concept brand and product that brings value to creators by fostering collaboration with Warner Music to build a positive relationship that’s mutually beneficial.

The concept is based on the theme of connection and bringing people together. This can be seen through the first two iterations based on blocks and shapes that be rearranged into a variety of forms.

The iteration of the mark we landed on captured the initial ideas from our exploration and is simple, bold and courageous. An apt description of the content creators Warner Music wanted to work with, echoing the sentiment of close collaboration.

The solution
Gloo was an internal success, kickstarting a conversation within Warner Music on how to move into an ever-evolving content creation age with positivity. Going forward, it will be used as a compass within the organisation for how creativity can solve complex problems such as copyright.
Projects like this can only flourish with collaboration across disciplines.

An energetic analogous palette was carefully chosen to embody youth, friendship and creativity to work both as fused gradients and standalone. In addition, a broad range of greys were picked out to be used across the dark UI. These values were used to choose suitable typography and iconography that was used in a wide range of applications.

The app design had the brands look & feel running through it with the vibrant palette and soft shapes taking center stage. Striking a balance between familiarity and creativity was vital so we weren’t putting up barriers and respecting the busy schedules creators have. Another strong theme was a rewarding experience so we developed an in-app currency that gradually gives access to higher quality and more exclusive content to the most active content creators.
